Titan - tiger

Titan

Titan and Lilly, both Bengal tigers, came from the tragedy in Pine County, MN where a woman was killed by Tango, a third tiger. Authorities immediately called TWS to help with the emergency but when our staff arrived at the scene, it was too late for Tango and his owner. Authorities seized the remaining two tigers (Titan and Lilly) from the property. Within days, TWS was able to respond and transport the wildcats to our new site in Sandstone, MN.

Titan weighed only 260 lbs when he arrived at TWS. Today he weighs more than 500 lbs. Titan and Lilly now live together in an expansive, free-roaming habitat (17,000 square feet) with temperature controlled, indoor enclosures in the big cat building. Titan and Lilly also enjoy Tiger Splash, a huge pool with waterfall.

Titan enjoys his keepers and all the enrichment he receives ranging from scents, to scarecrows, snowmen, and pumpkins. We are happy to provide Titan a home where he can be wild at heart and escape the hardships of his past.

Titan & Lilly - Together At Last - 8/2009

Titan and Lilly are doing wonderfully together. It took a few play dates to get them used to the idea of sharing their toys and perches, but now they are two peas in a pod.

We are so thrilled to be able to give them tiger companionship. And now they share both habitats, close to 17,000 square feet of space.
