Domestics
TWS also has some very special
domestic residents that have found their way into our hearts and sanctuary.
- Sophie and Sierra, the husky girls, came from a large puppy mill rescue effort in Iowa. Even after 8 years with us, they are still shy with humans but love all their toys and treats.
- Gracie, the Newfoundland, was found stray and emaciated. She has become the sanctuary's protector and will smother any intruder with kisses.
- TWS was fostering Mason, the Pyrenees Mix, for Second Chance Animal Rescue who was fundraising to give Mason two new hips and a lease on life. We fell in love with this mischievous boy and adopted him as Gracie's brother.
- Homer, a long hair domestic cat, was a stray at our first property and we couldn't bear to leave him behind. They all do very well living on the wild side at TWS.
- And, Remoh, a domestic cat, found TWS. He appeared at our front door and never left. Therefore, we had the vet come do blood work, vaccinate and neuter this little tomcat. He has found a wonderful friend in Benny who lives in the office. Remoh has grown into a big, beautiful boy with huge feet. His favorite thing to do besides chasing Benny is trying to steal Alicia, the keeper's, lunch.
