You Can Help

Your donation can make a difference to Josie and other TWS residentsIn a perfect world, places like The Wildcat Sanctuary would not be necessary. Some wildcats are victims of abuse, neglect and ignorance. Other have been cared for and loved, but due to their wild nature are surrendered when they do not act like a “pet.” It has been said many times that “you can’t save them all,” but we can certainly make a difference in the lives of the cats that we do encounter.

Animal neglect and abuse draws media attention, but what happens after the headlines fade? Rescued wildcats still need ongoing care to thrive and live a happy, healthy life. We want to provide these animals with the best care possible and allow them to live their lives as close to nature as possible. There are many ways you can help us make a difference.

Your donations are tax-deductible.

All of our programs can be purchased by mailing a check to:

FACE TO FACE

Touching people one by one will make a meaningful difference.

Schools: Meet with your school's teachers and principal and let them know that you don't want wild animals brought into the schools. It is dangerous for the kids and the people who do that can only use the animals while they are babies and then they are discarded. Sponsoring a rescued animal is a perfect way to show support for a school's mascot without exploiting animals.

Host your own event: Implement a penny or supply drive. Host a rummage sale and donate the proceeds. A yard sale or any number of little events can raise a lot of money if enough people do them. It is a great way to get your family, friends and neighbors involved.

Educational booths: If you check the social calendars in your area you will probably be surprised how many events there are for non-profit walks, pet adoptions, single's groups, etc. Ask if you can set up an informational booth. You can print photos from our website and make your own display. We can provide provide brochures and newsletters but the rest is up to you and your creativity.

Try your ideas out and if they work, send the money to the cats and send us a story that we can share with others about your great work.

GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!

GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you'll be supporting your favorite cause.

Just go to www.goodsearch.com or www.goodshop.com and be sure to enter TWS as the charity you want to support. And, be sure to spread the word!

Print cartridge recycling for TWS

** There has been a change in our ink cartridge recycling program.

The company we deal with is no longer distributing the baggies due to the mailing cost.  They are encouraging their customers to request prepaid shipping labels to ship cartridges.  Eligible ink jet cartridges should fit in the palm of your hand. Laser cartridges are no longer being accepted. You can find out if your cartridge is accepted by visiting the Empties4Cash website.

Our cats here at the sanctuary depend on every penny we can generate to help provide them with the care they need.  We are asking that you discontinue using the baggies and use the free prepaid shipping labels.  Please email us at saveourwildcats@gmail.com to request your labels today so that we can make this transition as smooth and quick as possible.  Simply collect your cartridges, seal it when it's full and slap a prepaid shipping label on it, and call FedEx to have it picked up or drop it off at your local FedEx drop off center.  To find the closest drop off center please visit http://www.fedex.com/us/.

Thank you for your generous support and helping our wildcats.
