Misha, a female cougar, and Max, a male Siberian lynx are an unlikely pair. In the wild, these two cats wouldn’t even be on the same continent, but here at TWS they have found a special kinship in each other.
Max is a retired exhibit animal where he was brought out on a leash in public until one day he lashed out and refused to perform. Misha was an illegally owned pet in Georgia where the authorities seized her and placed her with us.
The two lived side-by-side until one day we found them grooming each other through the fence! After a few carefully monitored play dates they were allowed to move in together. Their bond is blind to their species differences. Years later they are still inseparable and still ‘in love’!
Showing an animal in need that you care is an amazing gift. This gift of love can be shared with someone special this Valentine’s Day. With a $25 donation, we will send you or a loved one a Valentine greeting card. This year’s card includes a black and white photo of Misha and Max with a red heart saying - ‘I’m Sweet on You!’ The inside message tells the recipient that a generous donation was made with love in their honor.
